Over the last year, MyBacon went from one retail outlet to more than 100, and its popularity is only growing. To meet the skyrocketing demand, we built the biggest mycelium farm in the world, big enough to produce a million pounds of bacon a year on a single acre of land.

Ecovative Spawn & Substrate North America

With the acquisition of a state-of-the-art raw materials facility in the Netherlands, we have expanded the mycelium technology supply chain internationally. Ecovative S&S serves our growing list of brand and production partners, while also supporting existing mushroom farms throughout the region.

Swersey Silos

Ecovative’s headquarters in Green Island, NY got a new landmark in Summer 2022, with the unveiling of the newest and biggest mycelium feedstock processing facility in the world. Swersey Silos takes locally sourced low value plant and forestry inputs and efficiently mixes them with mycelium to produce high value meat and leather alternatives.

Mushroom Packaging North America

Our legacy technology dedicated to growing home-compostable protective packaging, Mushroom Packaging delivers a cost-effective and environmentally sound replacement for plastic foams. Our skilled design team can design custom packaging for your needs or you can pick from our Ready Made products.

Forager Fabrication Lab

This lab is where new mycelium materials are tested with traditional and experimental fabrication techniques, to test their limits and find their ideal product applications. Tensile strength, pliability, interfacing with other materials, and prototype garments, it all starts in the lab with our team of material and fabrication experts.

Pilot Plant

Our Pilot Plant is the proving ground for small to medium-sized production of new mycelial materials. This pivotal ‘pilot-scale’ stage enables us to test and evaluate prototype material performance, determining the potential for scalability and full commercial-scale production.

Engineering Workshop

Our skilled engineers are always fabricating the tools used to build and operate Ecovative’s cutting-edge mycelium technologies. From modifying off-the-shelf mushroom farming equipment to building machinery from scratch, our facilities and team move quickly on big projects to bring mycelium materials to market fast.

Mycelium Foundry

We continuously work to discover and advance the untapped possibilities of mycelium. State-of-the-art facilities and high-throughput screening are at the heart of our Foundry service, quickly testing strains and growing conditions to custom-tune new materials and products.

Ecovative Main Entrance

Ecovative employs over 120 team members. We are cultivating a greener future, doing meaningful work that brings industry back into alignment with the planet and inspires global change. Behind these doors we are redefining the manufacturing of food, fashion and protective packaging.

Mushroom Tiny House

In 2013, we grew a house! Well, mostly. Insulated with mycelium, the Mushroom Tiny House is stationed in front of Ecovative HQ in Green Island, NY, a proof of concept that’s near and dear to our hearts. You can read more about the project at mushroomtinyhouse.com.
